Hello again – we have clear skies forecast so we have a flight over Nelson and Marlborough in the week commencing 24 June. Low sun angles are not ideal for the steeper southern slopes but still good for terrain with other aspects.
Last call for a while perhaps as the aircraft is likely to be away from Nelson until the end of August. Any need for urgent aerial photography can still be catered for but is likely to be a little more complex for us.
Yesterday, Mark was very lucky to win the draw at the The Biz seminar organised by Yellow. Misha, from the prodigious Misha’s Vineyard in Central Otago presented Mark with a bottle of 2009 Pinot – reputed to be some of the best wine around! Last week Mark inched over the line to take first place in the 60km “Round the Rock” MTB cycle race on Niue Island…..with only 2 seconds separating the first 3 places it was a thrilling finish. Mark will enjoy his moment of fame while it lasts!
As for Niue – definitely a great place for a more active style of holiday with superb clear waters for snorkelling and stunning limestone and coral rock landscape features. Recommended!

Sorry all you hopefuls, but she’s taken! Cathy and Martin had a really lovely wedding celebration at Fairfield House over Easter. After a fabulous sounding honeymoon visting Bora Bora and Los Angeles both are now back with their feet almost on the ground and enjoying their new lives together.

Although the shadows are now lengthening there is still good light for most areas, especially as we capture the images around midday with maximum sun elevation.We will soon be flying over both Nelson and Marlborough so let us know if we can pick pick anything up for you along the way.
We can generate random points at the required density, produce an accurate location map, upload the points to a GPS file (eg gpx) and also produce the map as a kmz file so it can be viewed on the screen of you GPS device out in the field.

Being keen mountain bikers Cathy & Mark have donated some time towards constructing maps for the Nelson Mountain Bike Club. We are really happy with the outcome. Both map boards and leaflets are being produced.

Photomap will be closing down it’s office work from 21st Dec to 7th Jan, but will be available for more urgent aerial photography work from time over the break if it is required.
